With a name like Paris, this couch has a lot of style to live up to. Part of the Cindy Crawford Home collection at The Brick, Paris is a mid-century modern sofa with a linen-feel fabric and button-tufting.
Let’s start with the positives. Paris is a pretty couch, that’s for sure. Available in 7 colors, you can choose from neutrals and more adventurous red or orange. Made of high density foam and springs, the seats should hold up their shape well over time. I liked that the couch came with thick back cushions. Couch Chasers all agree that this sofa is perfect for naps, especially since it sits on the soft side.
But practically speaking, I’m not sure you’ll get the bang for your buck (over $1000 of it). Let’s start with the fabric: listed as “man-made,” none of the parts are removable for cleaning. For me, that’s a big no with high traffic areas like seat cushions and armrests. Plus, the linen texture will attract fur and hold dirt, so it’s not a great choice for those of you with kids or pets.
Another red flag was the tufting. The couch we reviewed had a button that had already popped out. If you’re going to buy Paris, be armed with a sewing kit and the knowledge from this how-to video.
